What is your New Years’ Resolution for 2008?
New Year’s Resolutions are not something I
particularly put much store in. What I prefer is to have a list of goals
that I’m constantly working on. So for 2008 these are my goals:
To attract lots of new clients for my coaching
groups, create workshops and seminars that sell, publish a new book, and
build Fearless Fifties into a financially viable company that will make
$100,000 by the end of the year.
To sell thousands of
copies of my novel
When The Crow Sings by December 2008 and find a gatekeeper for Oprah
Winfrey for 2009.
To increase revenue on Villa Pantulan, my house in
Bali.
Did you keep your Resolution(s) in 2007?
I set powerful goals in 2007 and although I fell
short on the money side, I have more than exceeded my plans and I’m
satisfied that with hard work and planning, there is little you can’t
achieve, even when it feels like you’re going nowhere fast!
What’s the main reason you think people fail
to meet their goals?
Bad planning or not enough clear focus on what it
is you want.
What do you look forward to in 2008 that
didn’t seem possible in 2007?
I’m a firm believer in anything is possible if
you plan for it, follow through on that plan, and when it doesn’t
work, do something else. I’d
like to do more radio and tv. I enjoy the milieu. I’m also looking
forward to increasing my herd. I believe Fearless Fifties is a fabulous
concept but it’s taking time to educate the public. I look forward to
more people embracing the concept.
What’s your best feature?
Probably my eyes. I have very blue eyes and
they’ve been noticed ever since I was a little girl.
What’s your favorite day of the week and why?
I can’t say I have one. As a solo entrepreneur,
I’m working most of the time. If I had to choose one it would be
Sunday. If I’m not going out, I hang out in my pajamas ALL DAY!
What celebrity actress do you think you look
like or have been told you resemble?
I’ve heard a few. Jamie Lee Curtis, Liza Minelli,
recently Shirley MacLaine in her earlier years!
What business tip would you like to offer?
Whatever you do in business, make sure you learn
and use only the best expert advice. It may cost you more, but it will
help you enormously to use their experience and strategies. Don’t be
cheap. It doesn’t help you in the end.
